Been looking for a solution to store my two bikes vertically in the shed. Plenty of options for the roadie but struggling to find anything suitable for the trail bike.

Can anyone recommend something suitable (heavy duty) for a fairly heavy MTB? TIA

I've got similar to this:

Wall Hangers

Which is fine for the v-braked bikes. I've not put my hydraulic braked bikes on them, I was advised that the calliper being higher than the levers would cause air in to the brakes. At least on my Hope brakes. Not sure if that's myth or not.

I hang all my bikes vertically, and use the same hooks for road bikes and MTBs. Wooden baton screwed to the garage wall, and then plastic coated hooks screwed into the wood.

Do you need the bikes to be fully suspended, or will the rear wheels be on the ground? Mine all have a wheel in the ground, so weight is less of an issue. If you need to fully suspend them, then just make sure the hook is well secured!

I've had no problems with air getting into the disc brakes on any of the bikes, and have stored bikes vertically for 7 years now.

Works very well for storing, ahem, 9 bikes 😳

Halfords blue wall hooks, rubberised and big enough for MTB. Cost about £3 each.
