Have heard from a chap who used to operate a bike outfit in British Columbia that that Verbier is a better destination than the old favourite Morzine as a biking destination.
Having only been to both in the wintertime was wondering what everyone else thinks....
what sort of riding are you after ?
Been to both, Verbier is a lot gnarlier

Depends how you define that, there are certainly far harder DH tracks in Morzine IF you know where to look.
What riding are you after?
I've done both and I preferred Morzine I think. Verbier itself is nice, and the views are great, but I had more fun in Morzine/Les gets on the bike.
Fast flowing singletrack like Afan in Wales ideally; although with lifts and without rain....
Verbier definitely quieter, if that's important to you? Felt more like a real mountain environment to me too.
I think defining "better" is going to help folk reply.
I preferred Verbier, nice and steep so drains well after rain. Plus I just like long runs down to the valley floor (see also Les Arcs).
There is steep stuff in both spots, probably more (on average) steep stuff in Verbier. Just depends what you want I guess.
Verbier is generally ridden by riders who drag their brakes.
both are TOTAL TOTAL rubbish
you want to go to Les Arcs instead
p.s. Verbier over Morzine EVERY time
