hi All,

a munted rear wheel on my CX bike (shimano WH-R500s) gets me looking for a new set of wheels - not sure on these 2 above in the title, some reviews good, some bad, what other options do i have?
I went for a 2nd hand pair of made up wheels but the deal fell through last second - so need a new set pretty quick...

any experience or advice always welcome!

thanks in advance!

tony

oddly enough the rim widths on the R500 and RS30 are exactly the same, and pretty much the same width as most other road rims that people fit CX tyres too all the time without death

I've been running 35s on R500. Although now have 30s on them.

If you did want to go the Vento route you'd need to have a Campag groupset. Fulcrum you can get in Shimano.
