Is this lift included in the price of the lifts servicing the deux alpes bike park or is it extra?

Included and starts pretty early. You obviously wont need to it get back to Venosc, that's one mental decent after a day's riding!
Dont know if it's your bag, but for a non-riding day, the Venosc via ferrata is a good way to get up to Deux Alpes too.

Nice village to stay in even if it is a bit of a hike to the "upper" town the resaurants etc there are worth it

yeah there's some nice little bars and shops in venosc.
the trail down from deux alpes isn't tech but it is steep and full of braking bumps, big braking bumps! my blown pikes weren't up to the task.
Yeah, not techie, just 800m of vertical decent with vicious arm pump and attempting not to leave the 100s of berms by their upper exits.
Venosc was my favourite place that we camped in the Alps last year, you can get to some nice bars in Bourg quite easily too, and the walk down the river / gorge is stunning. Camping Le Cascade is a good spot for a few days and very cheap.
There's some interested "black" graded hiking in the area too if you want to take things slightly easier.
