I may have missed it but is anyone using Terrex trainers with flat pedals?
My Specialized 2 fo's have finally died and looking at five ten trailcross as a replacement but I was wondering if an ordinary pair of terrex trainers would do the job just as well?
There's a whole heap of Adidas Terrex footwear with a vast array of differing soles. I have Trail Cross Terrex with a Stealth 5.10 sole specifically for MTBing and also an AX3 Terrex walking shoe with a Continental knobbly sole for walking. For out and out MTB get a specific shoe, for commuting / pub / town bike, I wouldn't be too fussed.
Cheers.
I used the terrex walking type shoes a couple of times on flats for casual rides to shops and stuff. Okay for that but wouldnt do proper riding with them.
For what it's worth, I'm about to try and warranty a pair of Goretex Terrex boots after 5 months.
They've completely lost their waterproofing despite minimal use and no wear and tear.
This isn't good to hear, I've just brought a pair of AX3 in GoreTex with the intention of keeping my feet dry!
I`ve got Addidas terrex trail cross (theoriginal ones) and they are ok at best. the sole is quite stiff, the stealth rubber isnt the stickiest variety so i mainly use them for hikes rather than biking.
I bought Terrex trail solo thinking they would be a trendy alternative to 5.10's turns out they are not. Fine for local trail riding or bikepacking trips , crap for steep stuff where 2FO's and Impacts are way better.
