I've had some Rock Shox SIDs sitting around the house for a couple of years without use.
Is there any reason why I can't fit them and use them? Or do they need servicing first?
They are not stiff and appear to work fine.

Seems like an ideal time to have a go at changing the oil yourself.
There are loads of service guides on the 'net. Its not hard.
The foam rings will be dry. If you can't be bothered servicing them just turn them upside down for a while and hope some oil reaches them.
