Seems like a VERY good time to get involved in local ROW stuff. Both as an opportunity to fix or clear the rotten quagmires and also to ensure that they don't smooth out any of the fun rocky stuff.

Curious as to whether many mtb'ers get involved in the Local Access Forums? I offered my services several years ago and they never had the courtesy to reply. 😐

Be persistent, go along as an observer (if you are flexible enough to make a mid-afternoon meeting), try and get issues on their agenda. My (admittedly limited) experience is that they're not as narrow-minded as you'd expect.

Yeah, we were initially worried about sanitising trails to make them horse friendly.
