I'm undecided, the 1/2 price RR's from On-One arrived this morning, they only had the white striped ones left. Can't make my mind up whether its cool or truly tasteless.

Fine now but it will never look like that again after you've used it once.

I'd vote gopping, sorry. Will probably look a lot better when it's got some mud on it.

Aye, it should look different tomorrow. I guess it's a bit like a new pair of sneakers!

Never mind that, have you considered getting a frame that fits?!

Fits just fine. 18" frame, I'm a 5'11 and a bit. To be fair I've not ridden it yet so the seat may have to come down a bit but it feels about right. Same geo as my old Ti456 and that was perfect. I do like to err on the small side with frames tho'

Fair enough - pic suggests saddle way up high and forward on its rails.

But then I have the opposite problem, being a proper shortarse due to relatively short legs.

I rather like the tyres on the build, TBH. Looks fast.

Ourman, I admit it does look a bit strange in the photo, was taken very close so maybe a bit of fisheye effect. The saddle is bang in the middle of its for/aft guides and there is 220mm of a 400mm seatpost showing.

Thanks, the only reason the white theme emerged was because I inadvertantly ordered a white headset...... was cheap tho ๐Ÿ˜†

Yeah, looking back it seems to bend towards you in the middle of the pic. Let's hope that's an illusion and not the frame..!

I must admit, i do quite fancy a Scandal for the sheer go fast look about them. Enjoy!

Looks like a good fit to me, a proper XC riding position.

As for it's looks, I've seen a lot worse from people who have spent a lot more.

Enjoy, Scandals are brilliant.

I quite like it! Looks very similar in dimensions of stuff poking out to my XC bikes - though your stem is prob longer, and I'd have 20mm or so of spacers under the stem. Smuzzy, do you have long legs and short upper body for your height? (I'm about the same height as you)

considering a scandal. tt on my boardman is poss a little short!

CP, I'm a worms eyelash under 6' with a 33" leg. I swear it looks more "normal" in the flesh, the camera seems to extend the seatpost by a couple of inches..... or I could be a crap photograper!!!!!

Stem is 80mm, I would have opted for a couple of spacers normally, but the forks I picked up from classified have a 178mm steerer, the stack height of theat headset is high on the top cup thgough.

Your house is far too clean ๐Ÿ™‚

I likes it - gold chain is the only let down for me, silver would be betterer IMO. Or a white one.....

so the colour scheme you've chosen is going to be black; red; mucky-off-cream (maybe 'coffee')? Nice.
Like the frameset and ss-ness though.

It'd be alright withou the red guff on the rims IMO - are they vinyl stickers that you can peel off?

Flash is off, sun is shining. The red bits are vinyl, the jet washer will have them off in a jiffy. Gold chain was in parts bin, will change it when I get round to it. I'm a bit new to this SS lark, I have a 32 tooth chainring and a 16tooth cog, it feels ok after a quick spin round the street on the flat but feels like it would be a bitch on a muddy incline..... or is that the idea?

is that the idea

kindof - although I tend to use a 17/18 rear with a 32 front on the South Downs as it gives me a sporting chance ont he steep bits.

hmm, i like it, but it does look like you've tried a little too much, therefore it's not cool.

Like it. I bet it's load of fun caning singletrack.

Make the tensioner push up; you'll probably need to take a link out too.

I think it looks ok, although I'd have bought a 19.5 (did - 29er) being identical proportions yo yourself, easier on the neck and shoulders.
