[Closed] Unusual hydraulic insert issue (Promax)

My lad wiped out today on his Saracen Mantra 2.4, which has Promax Solve hydraulic disc brakes. The hose split, and I am trying to replace it. The insert in the end of the hose is a combined olive/insert with an integral o-ring.

I have not managed to salvage the used one, as it is tightly crimped around the damaged hose and it has not been possible to remove the sheath of the old hose from inside the "olive" end.

I have considered just using a Shimano hose/insert/olive, but I don't think this will work, as the "insert" end of the promax one is tapered, never mind the o-ring, and the fact it is a 5mm hose.

The part I need is shown in this document, in the "C" figures.

Any tips on where to find one? TIA.

This site suggests they do exist in the wild. https://www.bmxinternational.com.au/Script/MCH/Products/429165-PROMAX-PMBR950-Solve-Hydraulic-Brake-Hose-Fitting-Kit

Yes. Cheers. I found one UK shop that had them listed, but out of stock. Indeed it may be cheaper to buy a new full brake. Crazy.

In case anyone else stumbles across the same problem, I have used some Hayes combined olive & insert things that seem to have worked.

You can always retrieve the original insert btw- the olive can be broken off by crushing it in pliars a couple of times, it'll crack and fall off. Then you can extract the insert various ways- carefully clipping the hose away with side cutters works or you can just go nuclear and set it on fire- the hose will melt quickly and fall off. No doubt it's toxic as **** though! And obviously remove the oring first.
