I quite like doing these as it means spending a weekend with a group rather than on my own and removes the need to sort accommodation etc. I've been on a number with Tom Hutton MTB (now part of Atlas Ride) and last year with MTB Wales covering Peaks, Lakes, NW Wales and Trans Cambrian etc. Can anyone add any other recommendations for companies offering similar in the UK. Atlas don't have many dates on offer and MTB Wales only run in the one region (nothing wrong with this just want a wider choice). Ideal is trips with 2-3 days riding and accommodation included. Other I've found while searching - Saddle Skedaddle (trips seem to be mostly longer than I can do currently), Marmalade MTB.
Mrs kilo has done two saddle skedaddle trips (sandstone way and lakes) and me one (lakes) in uk , we would use them again, very well organised. When you say more than you can do is that a time constraint or fitness?
Time sadly. Long weekend away I can do, but using more holiday than that gets in the way of family holiday requirements. I'm lucky enough to be fit enough presently that it is not a limiting factor on mixed trips.
Might be worth having a chat with Jaime at True North Adventures

I've been on many trips with them over the years, UK and abroad and Rob and Fin never fail to provide a brilliant trip! They have long weekend trips, week long trips etc.
As the name suggests, they focus on the more natural, adventure side of riding; big days in the hills riding natural singletrack and double track, climbing mountains etc.
H+I,ย who started life as Highlands & Islands tours before going global and upmarket, seemingly attracting many North Americans. They're a bit spendy but have one short trip in Scotland

Glenmore are brilliant:

I have a friend who went with Julia at Endless trails and thought it was great:

Thank you, some new ones to me on that list and trips I definitely like the sound of. The wildbike ones sound especially interesting as that's the sort of thing I do when solo riding during family family holidays in the lakes.
If you want something around the lakes then Rich at MTB guides might have something to suit your needs.
I've ridden with him a few times, although pleasure rides only as he is a friend of a friend.
He is also the guy who got the borrowdale bash footpath section made into a bridalway.
Another +1 for Julia/Endless Trails.
+1 for Wildbike
