has anyone used them at all? ive had the superstar version in past and they didnt work great as the upper had narrow/wide teeth and dropped the chain easily, someone kindly filed them off for me on here, (forget his username sorry!) but still had issues with them and got rid of that mech along time ago now
now my latest mech needs new ones and the plastic ones are shite and dont last
dont want to have the superstar ones again, but the uberbike are just standard teeth so should cause a issue and specifically designed for eagle
any thoughts or users? ill pack the bearings up with grease from the off so hopefully not a issue
They are ok and last well enough if you repack them regularly, not just at the start.
great - cheers yak - i assume no issue with jamming/dropping chain? i know metal ones generally a bit noisier but thats fine if they last longer, also bonus is metal ones are easier to keep clean too and generally bit more rigid for crisper shifting (in theory)
sorry last q, do you use the standard eagle bolts? or do they come with bolts?
Sorry, should have said, mine are on a 12speed xt mech. No jamming or dropping though. Well it did jam once, but that because a stick had got in and bent the cage open. Once bent back all was fine. I use the standard bolts with the mech.
great thanks! yeh assume with these being eagle specific they should fit/work pretty well (hopefully!)
now do i wait for a big black friday voucher code to hit before ordering as im pretty sure uber always do one
