Need to get some new gear cables for the Lad's new build.

I usually use Jag Wire or Shimano but noticed the Uberbike one's aren't that much more expensive and sound like they're decent quality with the sealed ferrules, and I can get the right colour too.

Anyone used them?

We have. Not had any problems with them, also replaced a dropper cable with one.

I got a kit for my hard tail, and liked it enough to get the same kit for the full suss when it needed it.  Been on for months, in this gloop, with no issues so far.

Thanks all - looks like a good buy.

How well do they cut?

Just use my normal cable cutters.

wouldn't bother with the kit.  buy some PTFE coated cable off ebay and use normal lubricated outer.

I haven’t used the Uberbike ones, but the last few changes I’ve done I’ve used a Clark’s kit from Cycle Republic. Think the last one was £10.99 - that’s 2 Teflon coated gear cables, enough outer to do front and rear mechs (in my case I did a rear mech and a dropper as the bike is 1x), loads of outer cable ends, the little crimp bits for the end of the cables and even a rubber cable guide thing - presumably for if you have cables that go for a period without outer on then.

The cables themselves are a dark grey / black colour which I like and the outer cable ends are shiny black bcc metal ones with Clark’s branding. So far so good with them.
