Hi,
Quick question - is this normal to have brand new discs to be slightly out of true? Is there a tolerance that is acceptable? or do I accept them as they are and think if it doesn't bother me apart from the scritch scritch as I ride down the street
Also if the wheel is slightly untrue - is this a factor?
Thoughts to put my mind at rest before I return them,
Cheers

Would probably be easiest to straighten them yourself.
were the flange faces clean when you bolted it on? Untrue wheel wont affect it
Yeh the disks bolted to the hub and the hubs bolted to the fork so an untrue wheel shouldn't really affect it unless it's really untrue.
Put the disk on a flat surface and bang it flat with a rubber mallet or something.
I've had 4 of the 203 floaters, all needed straightening. As DT says, I found it easier to do myself rather than send back
If you bolt them to your wheels, you should be able to tweak them with an adjustable spanner. Don't hit them with a mallet.
Thanks for the replies.
Will give em a tweak with a spanner when I put em back on again

I've always found that when I straighten a disk it normally goes back after I've used it.
Are you sure it's not straight? Did you put it on a flat surface to check or are you going off the fact it's it straight after you bolted it to the hub?
After bolted to the hub - i did lay it on the table and it felt ok maybe some slight movement
Bought some for an old bike, they went rusty in 6 months, I removed them again and replaced with the Hope ones on that I should have bought in the first place.
They weren't out of true though, and I've since cleaned them up for temporary use on my son's bike until I can get around to replacing them.
