In the old day its was continetal cross countries, now i am on some good specilaized puncture proof, fast ones.

i want some new ones, that are more knobbly and can cope with my soon to be commute through sherradswood wood,

am on rigid forks, need puncture proctection, and a mix of speed and grip.

been getting on well with maxxis medusa 1.8's (mud spike types) for months in the chilterns, fast and grippy in the mud but also not too bad on the roots, not bad at all in general for a spiky tyre, no flats yet (prob cursed my next ride there now!). have used on the rigid ss too, maybe could go for a 2.1 front but the grounds been soft so it's not been too harsh.

Was in Sherrardswood a couple of weeks ago on Bonty Mud Xs which were great. Walked there this weekend and they would have been overkill - drying out nicely...
