i have been out changing over some UST tyres on my SS.
I currently run a tubeless setup with sealant in the tyre. When i took them both off the small micro particles in the sealant seemed to have all joined together, like a snowflake.
Is this normal as i thought the purpose of the micro particles was to stay in the latex solution and help seal a hole when a puncture occured. As it currently stands the solution would just pour out the puncture?
Am i doing something wrong?
Not riding enough - allowing the sealant to congeal, I think most sealants have a usful life after which they 'go off'
It's not congealing.
The granules in it start to stick together and form an alien lifeform.
You're not doing anything wrong it just happens.
so is this normal? would this not stop the sealant from working properly if/when i get a puncture?
i ride my SS twice a week for 25-30 miles each time and the sealant is only about 1 month old.
