To fit a hunt trail wide v2 29er and maxxis minion 2.3 tyre.

If relevant I use stans sealant.

Thanks all

I use a Rimpact on a Hope dh rim with a 2.4 high roller 2 and it works fine also with Stans. I'm pretty sure you can buy a single Rimpact from Hunt wheels.

Using Rimpact Pro ? on the rear only. Easy to fit but haven't managed to remove it yet 🤔

Just standard Rimpact I've had no issue removing it.

Pretty sure it's rimpact I have on the other bike.

Definitely worked, not sure why I've never got around to putting them in the solarismax.

Rimpact Pro user here and pretty impressed. I’m running them on 2.5s and they really fill them up. With a 2.3 tyre I’d probably stick the the standard version as they are a bit smaller. Can buy them singly direct from Rimpact. Remember not to skimp, and get their valves as well or the V2 Peaty’s. You need sideways holes to get the air out. Will probably fill ok with normal valves but good luck getting the air out again.

Order a Cush Core bead dropper tyre lever at the same time. Will save you the time waiting on it to come when you inevitably give up using normal ones part way through installation.

Rimpact, cheap, effective, easy to fit and remove, no mental tyre levers or dustbins needed, and they work.

Cushcore Pro in a 2.4 DHR2. Getting the first tyre lever under the bead is a bit of a chore but after that it's easy.

Rimpact Pro on the rear and regular on the front of my Hello Dave. Current tyres are 2.35/2.4" width 29ers.

I've ridden trails on a flat rear tyre before with no damage to the rim.

I reckon I'd have destroyed a rear wheel rim or two if I'd not had them fitted.

Will buy another if and when this one dies.

Dustbin lid?

Do I need to Google 'tubeless dustbin lid'?

Cushcore installation advice usually includes a dustbin

Dustbin makes the install considerably easier than without. Also helps with removal, works with all tyre installs really.

Got normal Rimpacts in two bikes. I've got a pair of Rimpact Pros in the garage. Are they much better than the normal ones?

I use a Vittoria air liner in a 2.4 Exo Rekon on the rear of my Bird Aether 9 and it's survived Antur Stiniog and Ard Rock under my 125Kg. The only other insert I've tried was a cheap one from Planet x that was crap. I picked the Vittoria after reading the reviews here.

I’ve only tried cushcore Xc’s but they’ve been fit and forget.

The Rimpact Pro have a much tougher second layer compared to the regular ones. They're tougher to install than the regular but definitely worth it IMO.
