[Closed] Turbo Trainer videos - suggestions

Did my first turbo trainer session the other night, just one hour and, I can see I'll be needing some entertaining if I'm to keep it up. Had some decent tunes to keep me going.

I've seen a few posts about videos in the past but I've no idea where to start/what's good.

Any recommendations? After some 1 & 2 hour videos.

If you are an occasional turboer then sufferfest would do the job.

If you are going to be doing a lot then check out TrainerRoad. I can recommend it and I turbo pretty much every day. Structured intervals keep things interesting (you can use their sessions/programs or build your own.) I usually just have on demand stuff (iplayer, eurosport, redbull.tv) in the background, though you can sync it up with the sufferfest videos if you like to watch people riding.

Think I might be with lemonysam, much prefer the idea of catching up on my dirty scifi addiction on my tod in the cellar without my wife laughing at me/what ever film I'm watching's plot.

If you read this Mrs sandwicheater, you make me cry inside!

It's quite important to pick something so formulaic that it doesn't matter if you miss 5 minutes of dialogue on a hard interval.

I've been watching Amazon prime videos. One month left on my subscription if anyone has tips for what is good on there.

Yeah, for some sessions you really don't want to be watching something that requires any plot concentration! Also quite good to watch something that is quite repetitive (most sport, cycling, skiing, F1, etc.) for some of the harder intervals, you can break it down into laps or runs for example.

Do you like Motocross? The Supercross season is coming and I find it ideal. Exciting sport, lap based, lots of action. All on YouTube.

I have a more ad-hoc approach to 'training' - using rollers when the wife's out and kid in bed so I take the baby monitor down to the cellar and get on with it.

I have some rules, like I have to sprint while they go for a pass, or spin intervals for a lap. A close race leaves me in pieces trying to slither up the stairs at the end of a session! Good viewing too.

Blue Bloods if *free* on Amazon prime and pretty good. It's not as deep as something like The Wire so no great loss if you drift off a bit!

Goonies, Ferris Beuelhers day off, Ghostbusters, zombieland, Back to the future 1,2,3, Jaws 1 and 2, All these type of films don't need ANY concentration therefore its something for your eyes to do whilst you break yourself on the damn contraption.
I have since got netflix and its full of dross. - Its Awesome!!
