We have a three wheel pram with tyres and tubes.
We had a thorn puncutre yesterday, which has been repaired easy enough. No snakebites yet!
Has anyone experience of 'Slime' or other sealants. I am not too bothered about adding a little weight, but would like to make the tubes a little more puncture proof for when the Mrs is out on her own.
UST and Stans not an option, and I cant find DH tubes in this size 😉
Cheers
We used to use sealant designed for ride on lawnmowers, cheap & comes in big bottles. Heavy, but seemed to work a treat!
no reason why not at all.
a lot of companies provide the slime in bottles, as long as you can unscrew the valve from the core, then just blob in a load.
im not convinced you'll notice the rotational weight.
.... just looked on the slime website, the make tubes in all sorts of sizes with the slime already in.
one tip, is to get a pump and put it on the pram. as the hole seals, it will develop a bit of a leak until its properly sealed. so it may be worth pumping a bit more air in once it goes soft.....
LOADS easier than changing the tube at the road side.
Many thanks, I'll give it a try.
