I've seen recommended pressures etc but what are you personally running on tubeless, I've got Minions mounted tubeless and seem to be having a lot of front end slides and movement. They were at 18psi and now at 27 to try a different pressure later today. But in the meantime what have you found to be best for grip if running tubeless ?

I go with the usual Stans formula and find it's pretty much spot on for me, maybe one or two PSI up or down depending on expected terrain.

But, it does depend on you, your riding style, the tyres, rim width, number of letters in the month, etc.

Without knowing what you weigh going from 18 to 27 is a big jump.

Took my hard tail around ladybower last weekend. 15st rider who likes the techy stuff.
29x2.4 exp ardents on 30mm internal rims.
15 psi front
20 psi rear

Rear felt a little firm at times but I don't want to risk rim damage on the bigger hits.

I weigh 91kg, I don't recall what pressure I put in when I did the tubeless conversion but recently the front end hasn't been good. I'll find out later if the higher pressure has made a difference but the front with 18psi in does like to slide and wander about too much. I guess it's a whole other thread about whether my riding style is causing this as much as the pressure but it is something that I've noticed recently so I'll go with simple setup before tackling me !

I am 65kg and its 19f/ 21r give or take a few psi for weather/ trail type. This for 2.25/ 2.3 tyres with no inserts. If it's somewhere rocky I need min 23psi on the rear to avoid rim strikes.

For me anything from 20 - 30 psi depending on loads of variables. I also run less front pressure than rear. I'm around 85 kg riding weight. What do you weigh? What terrain are you riding? What sort of bike? What wheel size? How wide are your tyres?

Generally speaking less pressure = more grip up to the point where they start to feel too squirmy or you can feel the rims hitting through. Sounds like 18 was maybe too low for you. As above 27 is big jump, but it's all trial and error until you find a good compromise.

It depends on rider weight, rim width, tyre size, both diameter and width, rigid, hardtail, full-sus, terrain, riding style, etc.

In contrast to the above answers, where there are riders around 14 to 15 stone (90 to 100kg) running 18psi and saying it's sqirming around. I'm 125kg fully kitted up, ride single speed rigid, on 27.5+ x 3", 35 mm wide rims, and running 16psi front, 18psi rear. I'm slowly dropping pressure because although it rolls really well it's still a little bit firm.

I guess that shows just how much variation there really is in all these parameters!
