[Closed] Tubeless Newbie - new Schwalbe tyres leaking through walls

Folks

I've just set up my stans crest wheels with brand new Schwalbe Evo tubeless ready Nobby Nics, stans yellow tape, valves and sealant.

All fine on one wheel, but the other won't stop leaking through the tyre wall in 2-3 places.

I'd put the standard 60ml of fluid in, done all the shaking, leaving them to settle, but it went down (slowly). I then decided to try an extra 20ml or so, in case the 2.25" volume was too much, but still it leaks.

Any thoughts?

I don't think I've done anything wrong, but shout me down if you think I have.

Dave

Keep going, ride/top up/ride/top up. It'll seal.

Could try leaving the wheel flat ( on a bucket ) turning every 5 mins, should be some weeping but not pouring out. One of my riding buddies had to send a nobby nic double defense tyre back because it had a fault in the side wall, just one place though.

Rorschach and mattjg - good advice - I guessed that'd be the answer ๐Ÿ˜€

Blairc70 - thanks, I'll see how it settles over the next couple of days.

Cheers all....

Leave it overnight almost flat so that the sealant pools where one of the leaks is. Repeat for the other leaks.

I had this with a Ralph. Loads of pinhole leaks that didn't seem to want to seal, no matter how much I shook it about. After about two weeks it sorted itself out.

Ride it, then top up spooge and air.

It'll settle.

Got a pair in the workshop doing exactly the same. If i'd paid just shy of 50 quid for something claiming to be tubeless ready, i'd be a bit P'd if it was leaking like that.
