You'll probably get it going eventually, how much time do you have to spare?

Wouldn't bother then. How much hassle (and despite what you hear, it is extra hassle) do you need in your life?

From where I'm sitting, you're exchanging one set of minor irritations (trailside punctures) for another (getting rim strip/ghetto tubless to work) work out which one embuggers you the most, and mitigate it.

get a co2 inflator + a pile of canisters and its pretty easy.

Mind you after burping a few tyres now (not schwalbe) I am thinking of running UST tyres on my tubeless setups on the front at least.

Mate has joes kit (same as stans but cheaper!).

He said RR were easy, but he did use a compressor. If you can borrow one then it would save you time, money, and the hastle!

I have both, and I am not convinced they are the same to be honest, the Joe's rims strips seem to be made out of a much harder rubber so don't seem to glue themselves to the tyre as well as the Stans (and Ghetto) systems do. So the tyre seems to be much more likely to burp under hard cornering.

Ive done both Stans and Joes on 717's with a track pump in about 15 mins each.

Ghetto jizz (latex glue) + 20" BMX tube + 717 + compressor = no aggro. Mine stay up for weeks....

What's the problem?
