I've got a rear Corima Aero carbon wheel I use for 'cross and I bent a spoke a little after a tumble, it put the wheel out of true a couple of mm. I'd like to replace it and was thinking of peeling back the tub just at the spoke, replace it, and then nip it up to true the wheel. Then I'd reseat the tub with a splodge of glue.
Is this what others do? Really don't want to have to take the whole tub off.
Unfortunately these wheels have internal nipples.

A proper job might require tub removal but you might get away with it.

Take the tub off - you ain't gunna be able to true it otherwise and want tubs stuck on real well as its easy to roll a badly stuck one in cross!

Do a proper job of it. Most decent aero wheels are hidden nipples and its an unfortunate fact of riding tubs that they'll have to come off every time something happens.

Definitely a tub-off job if you're going to true it. I'd be tempted to leave it until the end of the season if it's only a mm or two and isn't going near the pads.

+1 to all the commenters, but I have to confess I had a similar problem on a Zipp 303 when a spoke pinged and the nipple disappeared into the rim. Solution? Carefully peel back 10 to 15 cm of tub, shake out old nipple, replace spoke, reglue, making sure that glue covered every bit of the peeled back area, wait 24 hrs, race. If the thing was glued on properly in the first place, there will be good contact between the rim and tub basetape with no un-glued areas. All you need to do is keep everything clean and make the existing glue tacky again by putting a fresh layer on the rim.
Probably.
