[Closed] Trying to salvage a seized xD cassette

I've got an 1175 xD cassette which is well and truly seized onto a pro4 freehub. The splines are buggered. It's still got some life in it, so it would be nice to salvage 1 of the two things if I can.
Is there a (probably destructive) way I can rescue at least 1 of these things? I haven't looked at an xD freehub in years so I can't visualize how they go together.

Is the inner ring unscrewing at all ?

Are you talking about the splines the cassette tool plugs into ? If so, would a different cassette tool help ?

Nothing is moving in the slightest unfortunately.
The splines are, in fact, now basically all at an angle! Can't get a tool in 🙁 will try and get a photo.
If i cut what would be the locking on an hg cassette, will that write off the cassette?

Did you remove the drive side hub end cap before you tried to remove the cassette?

Yup, got the cassette tool in as far as it would go. Had a breaker bar on the cassette tool! It didn't come out of the splines until an awful lot of force was put on it.

It shouldn’t come out at all, mine doesn’t even with me standing on it - how far in does the tool go - it should be at least a centimetre?

Have you got the freehub off and can work from the 'back'?

Which is more important, saving the cassette or the freehub?

Sounds like the cassette is dead if the splines are gone.

Probably need to replace both ☹️ ?

I slather the freehub body with assembly paste and it is generally ok.

My last xd cassette was siezed on, only way I got it to budge was to use a bench vice with the cassette tool in that, chain whip attached and clamped round spokes with my hand then turned the wheel itself which gave a lot more leverage and one massive crack and it came undone

ah mine was just I couldn't unscrew it, if yours is stuck on as it's cut into the splines then not sure! Swear a lot? Sometimes works for me
