[Closed] trying to find 1 1/2" caged bearings..

Hi folks. I need to replace the top bearings in a tapered headtube. they are the above size but all i can seem to find online is 1 1/8". Does anyone know where to get them.. i've tried google etc.

This is a recent trend from manufactures to hide some cost savings. Little devils.

Honestly. Just replace the headset. We've struggled to find them at the shop I work at.

Can you not just blob loose bearings into the grease on the race then adjust as usual? The cage is just for convenience during assembly.

Loose balls work -a bit fiddly but that is the traditional way, caged are mainly to save assembly time but do work quite well too by spacing the balls, as in cartridge bearings. Measure the balls and replace with the same size, put in one less than you’d expect, i.e. leave a space so the balls can rotate. If you tell me the size and number I’ll drop you some in the post.
And if its the top bearing in a tapered it should be 1” 1/8”?
