I have a basic outboard bearing GXP crank that has a constant creak from the non driveside. The bearings are fine and have no problems. I have tried seating the crank arm on the spline with grease and without grease but nothing seems to help. It just keeps creaking on every pedal stroke! Has anyone found a solution?
Cheers
Checked the pedal threads?
Yep, all clean and greased.
You don't mention removing, cleaning and regreasing the BB cup? thats usually my first port of call for removing creaks.
Try a squirt of WD40 after fitting it and tightening everything up. Worked for me, though not sure why as I thought I'd greased every available surface...
spraying gt85 or wd40 as suggested here worked for me (cheers hooter!)
