It's just come as news to me that my Truvativ cranks and chainrings dont use male + female style chainring bolts. The middle ring is threaded so only uses a one piece bolt.
Well, at least it was threaded, although it has now been stripped, and surprisingly easily.
I've bodged a fixed with 4 male/female bolts, but they protrude a bit too far and interfere with shifting. So it looks like a new middle ring is required.....

Anyone know if there is an alternative to a new chainring?
