Chuck Norris doesn't need bike lights. He just turns the planet to face the sun when he needs to.

Jammy

Quick question Trout, as you appear to just be waiting on the drivers to arrive (from what I gather), will work on the rest of the light be going on so that when the drivers do arrive, they can just be added into the mix and finished off relatively quickly? I don't know if that's possible or not, but it was just a question that popped into my head.

Yep will be doing as much prebuilding as possible .

Aquired 3 Maxflex drivers so the first 3 on the list will go out today or tomorrow

A bit like a rainbow Trout ( wheres my Coat)

😈 They know who they are 😈

You could send back the loaner and I could nick the driver from it for your build might be quicker than waiting for the darn things from usa

Same goes for you SWIFT if you read this

Trout, don't throw it in the bin, just be careful how you use it; the light output could speed up or slow down the planet, depending on which way you're pointing it. Just put a little compass on top to check direction...
Just out of interest, what's the diameter of that 7 led unit you showed earlier, that you were looking to put in a Maglite?

I must say they look gorgeous, i will chip a bit into the stw beer fund soon, my way of saying thanks for keeping this thread alive. 🙂

I also like the lack of cable strain reliefs it makes them look more professional imo.

Hi Chris,
I emailed you a few days ago, asking whether I was on the list but I guess its been buried! Are those going out soon, the assembled ones, or the kits?

Cheers,

Mark

Here is the front pic tried to be creative with the lighting

[IMG] [/IMG]

Mark Sorry , So many Marks on the list drop me another mail as to which one you are .

Kits were going out first but with the delay with the drivers and only having 3 in the archives I just sent the first 3 to the earliest to order on the list

some drivers are enroute from across the pond but not all so to be fair will have to work down the list in cronalogical order .

Yup, they sure do look yummy. To reiterate, what's the diameter of the 7led pcb, Trout? Is it bigger than 35mm? Just wondered if it could fit into a DX Bastid light. Not that I'm considering up-grading mine, but who knows what might happen later?

Xipe-T.

The cutter site seems to indicate an OD for the 7-up MCPCB of 40mm.

I'm not sure theres enough of the B'Light to keep a 7 XP-G set, cool.

Those XP-G knock-out some heat.

With my non digital gauge it is 39 mm Dia and Luminous is correct it would be easier to make a case from scratch than mod the Bastid.

Heh, never hurts to ask about these things. The photo with the lights set up on a Perspex bar looks quite professional, and the lights are just lovely looking. Nice.

Agree, totally ^^
😀

Always keep your eyes open for a moding opportunity.

For me thats been half the fun/challenge over the years.

I'm still an Ali torch cutter-upper, if the result is worth it 🙂

Trout/Smudge, in the full kit, does the battery come in a bag to hang on the bike frame, or will we need to get one?

I'm not sure 'happy' is the correct adjective to use when referring to the Captain... 😉

Wow just got my blue trouelight, i am severely impressed both in quality and output, it has a hi and low mode and you simply hold the switch to turn it off, the paint glows lovely when you switch it off, not sure about the status led but it did flash red when connecting so i can only presume it's a low battery indicator, how much run time would remain i don't honestly know.

I Compared it to my p7, it has beter spill, better punch and is a cooler white output wise it was better, then i realised it was in low mode.

My god high mode is just plain obscene just light everywhere!!!

If you have been hesitant because of funds then don't be, best start selling that kidney now. 😉

Pics will be up soon as it gets dark. 8)

Hi Huxley

You got it then 😀

The stat led should light up when your battery gets to 14volts
smudge will be able to say what that means .

then when it gets to 13.3 volts it will start flashing that is the low warning that you should be on your way home and to turn it down to low

I never got the chance to find out how long the runtime would be when the low warning happens
So your feedback would be appreciated .

Addam
sadly no battery bags yet it all happened so fast Smudge is franticly trying to source some

Got it i most certainly have, love it umm a resounding yes!!

I like the colour of the light as well, not your typical blue it has a quality look about it that's for sure, i like how you bended the acrylic window i can imagine that being fiddly.

Lumicycle bags to fit smudge batteries though it would be better if you gave him first dibs. 😉

Right i suppose id better 'fish' out this camera for the trout, nothing fancy/arty for now as i've just got back from the gym so im cream crackered.

I *think* tags make it easier to find a particular thread when searching. This one isn't too much of a problem... 😉
