Wow huxley.
As for battery bags I am currently working on having ABS battery cases made, these will will have velcro straps. They will be in 2 sizes depending on the size of battery.

Short term you can use the lumicycle bags or try searching for AEG Battery pouches on Ebay which come in a variety of colours.

if you can make a handlebar bracket that can be used to dip these lights when out on the road I'll have a set.

Yeah li-ion elite bag that's their 2.6ah battery.

Lead is a good deal longer, i stuffed most of it in the bag, about 3x more cable where that came from.

There is no lead on the light
the lead on the battery is 700 mm so plenty long enough to fit it most places on the bike

Ton
Got your mail but had too much wine tonight
still bloody waiting for the drivers but hoping to have everyone sorted before november ( yes I am an optimist) doing as much prebuilding as possible

also forgot to say, are they better suited to development then larger numbers of runs so less of a jobbing shop?

I'm not dreaming about getting my Troutelight...

I got it yesterday... went out for a quick blast in our local woods and must say, it is ASTONISHING! My friend, who I was with, turned his twin halogen jobby off as there was no point to it being on.

Many thanks to Chris and Smudge, this is a very professional, very powerful little package, the beam pattern focus is very smooth (probably not the right term) and the mount also works perfectly.

This will transform my winter riding completely and I can't wait for it to get dark today!

I will try and get some pics up tomorrow night.

Rootes

I cant say about the Trout light but Paul Is great and has helped me with enthusiasm He has a bike but not a keen offroader ( that may alter )
And Kadel is a cool outfit with some nice equipment and I have seen a light being hewn out of solid it was ace .

also seen a fair spectrum of their work and from big stuff to small it is all good stuff .

I dream about getting the drivers more of a nightmare about not getting them .

Hells bells Rob I hate waiting I want it now or sooner

give Paul a mail with your requirements and I am sure he will give you a price .

Gazman Yes there will be something soon but must get the others sorted first .

Scott has it right first 20 posted last tuesday so should be tangled up in our mail system somewhere the rest I have requested he sends them UPS so may get here a little quicker.

been soldering the bridges and applying the glow paint to a few for the kits so a bit less soldering for you to do .

[IMG] [/IMG]

also done a load of prebuilding ready for the drivers to slot in .

[IMG] [/IMG]

Did have plans for a rear but it is on hold.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out for the rear, as I'll be very interested when it's off hold!

I saw a prototype of a nice Exposure rear light at the Cycle show (similar to their Redeye, but a standalone), it's not going to be out for a little while yet, and they've yet to firm-up the details.

thanks for the update Trout.
I had a thought the other day, regarding paying the remainder of what I owe (only paid a deposit). When will you be wanting the rest? When it's finished and ready to be posted out?

Yes that was the plan Jammy P has hit it right

Bloody frustrating waiting for the drivers probably arrive just in time for the postie strike

Got wednesday and thursday off work so would be good if they came tomorrow.

I have just had a zoom in on the boxes and could only read 1

Troutie - What drivers do the lights use again?
I've got a pair of UBflex and a single maxflex sat here at home, and also have a suitable light mount....

Was wondering what the cost would be for just the case, LEDs, switch.. as in do you have a 'semi complete' kit lying around?!

I.e sans driver and mount?

Cheers,

DrP

DrP

Drop me a mail I did have your mail I think I did you some sinks for the tesco torch
I do have the proto with all bits installed except the driver ( maxflex )
it has the XPEs in could do a deal on that one
or can certainly do a kit sans Maxflex .

or the Baby Trout uses the Bflex

Trout, give us a shout when mine is ready, as i can chuck the prototype in the post to you, it's been awesome, and to think its only about half as bright as the finished article. Cheers mate.

EDIT: Just read back a couple of pages and realised mine could have been coming if i'd read it earlier, d'oh. Stuck offshore now, but ill sweet-talk the missus into boxing it up and shipping it back to you ASAP.

Cheers Chris.
