Can't get the bead to sit correctly on my rim (tube and tyre). The resulting tyre is now oval.
Any advice?
I posted this same question a couple of weeks ago and the best advice I got was to use soapy water round the bead of the tyre and pump it up as hard as possible until the tyre pops into place. I tried it and it works !!
That's what I was going to suggest but auldy beat me to it.
Has it explode of the rim yet? Then it's probably wrecked, annoying costly feature of Schwalbe tyres.
I had an issue with a couple of high rollers recently.
Used soapy water and slowly working the bead to seat on one wheel
The other was more stubborn and used a vice to grip the tyre and work the bead into position, the vice worked but it was a real stuggle a five minute job that wasn't!!
Soapy water + high pressure = problem solved. Thanks guys!
