[Closed] Tripster discontinued, any alternatives?

Just got back from Strada Cycles in Bristol checking out the Kinesis frames with a view to getting a Tripster for my 16mile back road/bit of gravel commute. Upon phoning Kinesis to check availability in my size we discovered that they aren't doing them any more, replacement possibly in pipeline but no detail or eta.

Would like to get something sorted by the end of the summer holidays ready for the three day commute to resume. Crosslight was suggested, any other disc friendly 700c frames whih will take 40mm tyres and mudguards worth considering?

Cheers

Are they not bringing out a Ti Tripster ATR? Saw an ad for it in Cycling Plus only last month. Looks the nuts.

Guess it doesn't mean the original one isn't being discontinued though.

I thought they were having deliveries of new frames at the moment - might be worth emailing Upgrade direct for what's happening?

That's one hell of a commute if it takes 3 days. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Budget doesn't run to ti and keen to try something lighter/different to my various steel hardtails, hence ally Tripster.

Looks to be a few cx dis frames which would probably be fine, bit concerned by durability of a 'race' frame though...

My Uncle John? I think they're stopping too. Should get one myself really.

I've just done 1000 miles of on/off road touring with full camping equipment and gear on a rack on the back of my Crosslight Pro6. Seems pretty durable!

Winter of cross racing and 9 months of commuting and MTB club rides on it before that.

In discussion with the bike shop we settled on 57cm.

The Tripster is still in the Upgrade brochure this year.
Mines a 57cm in black.
Drop me an email if interested.
Cheers
