Final stages of finishing off a Zaskar build.

Need 3 rings for a Middleburn Square taper (5 bolt 94 bcd iirc) think it's RS7 but there's no markings I can see unless obstructed while the crank is on the bike?

Any offers or bargains? Don't care what colour they are (black, silver, red, whatever).

Stronglight chainrings from Spa Cycles are not horrendously expensive, but not dirt cheap either.
They have 5 bolt 94 BCD options, but not a great range of sizes. Look like they might be a bit large for MTB duties, but worth a look.

They're not bargains, but I think these guys have what you need - https://mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/collections/chain-rings?filter.p.tag=Middleburn+Chain+Rings&page=1

Bargains? in a "Dead" BCD?

Ain't dead to me. I could go single up front but wouldn't look right. Cheers for the linkies though. 80 quid (plus postage) isn't far off from the XTR m960 triple chainsets + BB I've got saved in my eBay watchlist. something about the Middleburn cranks though, really like them. I'm sure I can do better than 80 quid..... Mr Optimistic here.

There's Deore 9spd triple crankset (in silver, inc. BB) at SJS, 170mm 48/36/26 for £70.

man, you must like hard to find chainrings. the M960 was 64mm, 102mm, 146mm BCD.

M970 and M980 were 104 bcd 4 arm which will be around for a while I'd think, though chainrings with shift ramps are getting rarer

I'm sure I've got a set of 3 Middleburn rings on an RS7 spider - I'll check when I get home.

Actually I think might have an old 32T/94BCD TA ring hung up in the garage, by old I mean I would have bought it in the late 90s. I'm just not sure how long I actually used it for an if it's in good nick or not. IIRC it was very nicely finished and very light, but shortly thereafter I bought a newer chainset in 104/64BCD.

It's of zero use to me now as I have no cranks to fit it to.

I'll have a look later and shove up some photos if you want OP

Nah what I mean is, I've got maybe 3 m960 chainsets + BB in my watch list sub $200 so if I'm looking at 80 quid + postage to Aus for just the three rings I can consider just replacing the lot for just a few bucks more. My old Zaskar LE was full m960 (even the stupid rapid rise rear mech) and out of all the XTR I think 950/60 was the prettiest.

@snaps cheers mate but the spider / crank I have is square taper and 5 bolt.
