which are the most reliable triple clamp forks?
fox 40's. marzocchi 888's or any others.
looking for a set for a project build.
new or used? what sort of budget?
888 are generally pretty low maintanence (04-07) although they are heavier than the rest.
Provided that the bushes are ok, all they usually need is an oil change periodically....which is easy to do
Do you have to have triples for your project? Or could you do with some long travel singles, as the lower end rockshox stuff (domains) are pretty good too. Just get the firm or xfirm spring and again all that's needed is an oil change( although more frequent than 888's)
97-2002 monster ts most reliable and that is a fact
But they are not necessarily the best .....
basic 888's or boxxers are simple and [s]reliable[/s] easily fixed
