can it be done?

The cantis are causing th einfamous judder under braking and I was wondering if any one had converted to brakes. Only really used for a road bike now so not worried about the clearance

Thanks

No need, just fit a fork mounted front brake hanger and you'll have no more judder 🙂

(Unless your bike is a new model with this design already in place of course 🙂 )

There's no way I can fit 32/35mm tyres in my road bikes 105 calipers. Might be able to get away with 28mm but then you have no mud clearance.

I'd be surprised if deep drop calipers would work.

sell it and buy a road bike. No way you'll get calipers on it.

If its a singlespeed put V's on it.

Yeah, as you mentioned, the new ones come with it. I've never noticed any judder here, 15 stone rider, 61cm frame, were it going to happen I'd assume it would have.

I'd hunt down one of those little clamps.

Any Specialized dealer can easily get hold of a fork mounted canti hanger for a Tricross. Part number is 9890-6000, cost £10.
