Looking to buy a 2008 Trek Top Fuel, frame sticker states 18" 19.5 virtual.
Trek archive has no geometry table & lists bikes as 17.5" or 19.5".
Seller states actual top tube as 23.5".
Is the bike 17.5" or 19.5" - Trek race bikes are long, so I'm interested to know as a 19.5" will be too big.
It's a 19.5" there was no 18.5" TF in 2008.
i have a 17.5" 2007 frame and it has ( i believe) a 23.5" effective top tube. If you hang on a bit i have an old trek catalogue with the geometry in...
Its a 2007 brochure ( i kept it when i got my bike) and the geometry is as follows;
Medium (17.5") -
head angle 70
seat angle 72.5
effective top tube - 23.3inches / 59.1 cm
chainstay 16.8"
bb height - 12.9"
standover - 28.5 inches.
if this one doesnt work out, i have a 2007 top fuel 7 frame in my loft that is for sale. Excellent condition - turns out i prefer hardtails:)
Dickie - that's a 19.5". The seat-tube measures 18" - hence the actual tag, but the bike is laid out as a 19.5 in every other respect. IIRC the TT is 24.1" on a 19.5"
I have a 19.5" 2008 Top Fuel 8, I'm about 5'10", 32" trouser leg, and it fit's me spot on.
lovely bike BTW
I'll phone a friend...
He'll know
I knew he'd know - 625mm
Mmmmm!
I'm 5'11" & had an old Trek Fuel 90, large, & 625mm effective top tube was too big.
i am 6' and my Large TF7 fits fine.
