Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys know what clamp size a trek Elite 9.7 (2010) uses. The seatpost itself is 31.6mm, and haven taken the bonty clamp off, without anything 'clamping' it in the outside diameter of the the seat tube is 36mm by my measurement.
Is the measurement of the clamp when slack or fully clamped? Do you think that a 34.9 clamp would do the trick?

Thanks for the quick and accurate reply. Forgive my ignorance but its one of the few parts I've never replaced over the years. The lack of a QR always frustrated me on my old Trek 8000, but sheer laziness ment I never got around to making the change!
Absolutely loving the 9.7, but once again making the transition between on and off-road has me yearning for a QR clamp yet again.
Still a 36.4 available from Trek dealers, should be able to get one easily enough as some of the FS bikes come with a QR.
