I used to use a website a few years back that you could download GPX files from, but im buggered if i can find it or remember its name. I thought it was something along the lines of mtbtrails or the likes but no amount of googling will find it. The initial page had a map of the UK and when you zoomed in the lables for various areas were different colours depending if it was a trail centre official trails or just random trails. When you looked at a trail it would open up a OS map alongside a satellite one and some of them had fairly detailed notes.
anyone have any idea what im rambling on about?
cheers in advance!
I've used https://flattyres-mtb.co.uk/ in the past. Is it something like this?
maybe trailforks? doesn't exactly match your description but you can get gpx from the trails and most are on there.
I think you're thinking of mtbtrails.info, it seems to have gone down in the past few months. Put the name into Google Images and you'll see a screenshot which matches your recollection.
thanks for the replies, I was googling again trying to find it and my own thread popped up although in my defence the thread seemed to stop working and I couldnt open it. Bikesandboots that's the very site, shame it seems to have disappeared
