Just signed up to this forum but have been reading it for a while.
Was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of some trails within maybe an hours drive from Kirkmichael, going up there for a few days holiday and planning on bringing our bikes with us.
Preferably some that got trails equivalent to blue trails as GF is pretty new to cycling and tend to find most read a bit hard.
Which one? There's two in Scotland.
Assuming the one in Perthshire, there's a loop that takes you out of Pitlochry, up to Aberfeldy through the forest and then back by back roads.
Escape Routes bike shop in Pitlochry will advise as well, recommended for a visit anyway.
Did not know there was two but kcal is correct, its the one in Perthshire.
Thank you kcal, might stop by escape routes and see if they can get us going in the right direction.
You could join the Beinn a Ghlo circuit from Straloch; or follow it anti clockwise to the Tarf bridge and do the nice singletrack up th Allt Garbh Buidhe (which could be followed all the way to Braemar if you're keen!)
