Can't help but think that something like this should also be available from bigger manufacturers like Trek or Specialized, or even small UK specific ones like Cotic.
Would like to try one out.

Things I like about it are:
- Clean lines
- Steel frame
- Pinion 12 speed gearbox
- 29" wheels
- Suspension forks
Things I'm not too keen on is essentially the price. It is handcrafted in Germany though so I can see why it costs so much.
Everyone must be watching the football.
Sonder will do you one in Titanium
Broken Road

Signal is also available too

They're both expensive titanium, I can't seem to find an affordable option with a Pinion gearbox.
There are a few custom UK frame makers who will make me a steel pinion frame but they're around the same price as the ti Alpkit ones (I'm not knocking the Alpkit ones as they're good value for ti).
Gearbox bikes do seem to mostly touring types.

There are a few handsome one there just not quite what I want (or can afford).
There is the Priority 600x but it's marketed in the US with a waitlist, and about the same price plus import faff. Ryan van duzer has collaborated with them and made s few videos about it. My impression is that it's a value orientated build and at $3500 dollars is not far off the Tout Terrain.
It's a niche bike so big manufacturers will be less interested in making it and it will be more expensive anyway being niche
I am very pinion curious.
It looks pretty nice to me. I do like the alpkit options but I want a cross between the signal and broken road.
This looks pretty close to that.
The pinion gearbox is the expensive bit.
Bike Mielec in Poland will knock you up an alloy frame for a few hundred to any geo you like. https://bikemielec.com/en/
price wise - that is for the rigid fork - change it to a helm as on the Signal & the price is pretty similar. But you still get a bigger triangle for all that lovely bike packing luggage
That looks like a pretty old fashioned and uninteresting bike with a Pinion gearbox as its only interesting feature. I'm out.
Saw 18 bikes website and they do offer some great Pinion options but again it's £2.5k+ for the frame and gear box.
The newer C12 pinion gear box looks a fair bit cheaper than the P series ones so I still think there is a place for an off the shelf Pinion frame and gearbox that can be sold for less than £2k.
Buy a frame you like and take it to a frame builder to weld in a gearbox mount?
Doesn't really work that way, the gearbox 'mount' is structural, and the frame needs to be designed and built around it.
I like the idea of adapting an off the shelf frame, you can buy a Pipedream S5 unpainted. 🤔
Definitely doesn't solve the price issue but @ta11pau1 's Nordest build is a banger!

Really like the look of the Nordest frames.
I'd be knocking on the door for a custom one from Shand if I had the £££
