I've had mine for two years and it the best bike I've ever owned. Very similar build to this one...

I like that. Just looks purposeful with no fancy swoops lines.

I would really really like one of these. Simple but deceptively lovely frames.

I'm waiting for mine. Getting closer to the top of the queue!

I like the look of the frame. Does the extra bit of metal at the headtube serve a specific purpose?

That is really nice, like the component choice, like the colour, love the match of the frame and the Renthal bars. Sweet. You must be chuffed to bit with that.

I’ve always wondered how these compare to a Curtis. They’re both west country built steel hardtails and cost a lot, but I always felt the BTRs looked more industrial (this one looks lush) and less refined than Curtis bikes.

Anyone ridden both and can comment on the weight, feel, etc?

Does no one else see Frank? Do I need a holiday?

These articles should come with an additional sensory dimension. We need to smell the new bike pheromones that we crave.

Thanks for sharing, Hannah. Glad I submitted and looking forward to seeing others' builds. Great idea.

It is indeed clearcoat, which has been reintroduced as a finish (extra cost though). Burf kept saying to me how pictures don't do it justice and I'll mirror that, it's like nothing else, really is stunning and changes colour in each light/ angle. Well chuffed how it turned out, but more importantly, more impressed how it rides. Enough reviews around that will be far better than I can put into words, but another nod towards it being the best hardtail I've been fortunate to swing a leg over. Well worth the wait.

@stwhannah I think seeing Frank is very much the sign you need a holiday, that was the whole point of that film?

But yes, certainly there.

A really awesome looking bike and although I ride a Pace steel HT, my mind is definitely going towards something new. Not helped by a mate who has just taken delivery of a Nordest Ti, belt driven and it is amazing to ride and looks as awesome as this. Absolutely love this.

My husband has one, took it to France with his mates on their downhill bikes and loved it. Its such an amazing bike. He's had his 4 years and loves it more than me I reckon.

Haha, @angeliquebumcheek I’d probably be saying the same; if my house was burning down and I had to choose between my bike and wife? I’d be wheelieing out the garage for the TV cameras…
