The first generation of Totem airs were prone to blowing up. Don't know whether later versions have improved. The coil versions are a superb fork, very plush. Super stiff. Somewhat like Fox 40s in the way they feel.

Up to 2007 66s had bombproof reliability. I've had a few pairs and never had a single problem. In fact barely ever touched them. The 2008 and 2009 models have a very poor reputation reliability wise, not sure how much of this is deserved as I haven't had any. The air 66s are a bit poo imo.

Totem coils would be my choice.

Thats what i'm looking at the coil forks and have heard about reliability problems with Mazoccihi's (currently got a knackered pair of 55's) and oil leaking problems with the mission control on the Totems.

I had 66's and the totem coils I replaced them with are better in every way.

I had 66 and replaced them with totem air, 66 were plusher and leaked out the bottoms, the totems have more travel and leak out of the top.

Everyone is a winner.:-(
