I’m off to Inverness for a few days for work and want to get at least half a days riding in. Any suggestions?
XC type routes... I usually ride FOD/Cwmcarn/Afan
If you're after a trail centre then the Strathpuffer route starting from Contin is an option.
Ride to Abriachan on the Great Glen Way, do the wee trails there, visit the eco-cafe then ride back to Inverness.
Balblair is about an hour away.
And Golspie about the same.
Some good hill/forest tracks around Cawdor - 20 mins east. When you coming? - am away for weekend but can point you in the right direction one early eve next week? if you pm me.

FFS go to Golspie. But be prepared to be underwhelmed by any other trail centre afterwards (apart from LagganW of course)
Or alternatively go to Glenlivet if you want the opposite effect 🙂
Or if you want proper local, Some good trails in Inverness itself, Craig Dunain hill on edge of town has xc Singletrack thru to full on DH tracks. Short but plenty variety and easy spend couple of hours. PM me if want more info or look on Strava or trailforks.
