All the complete tool sets I've seen don't appear to be very high quality or up to date. They still seem to have very old tools in. You're probably better buying just what you need from the ice toolz or maybe the new superstar ranges.

Right lets have a think about what you need:

Allen keys (on my bike i need the following)
2mm
2.5mm
4mm
5mm
6mm
8mm*

Torx 25 for rotor bolts

Cable cutters

HT2 spanner and preload tool (*i have an ice toolz one that fits on an 8mm allen key - does both jobs)

Chain whip and cassette tool (and socket to use it with)

Maybe a pedal spanner but mine both use allen keys (5 or 6mm pedals depending)

10mm socket for joplin and fork servicing

20(iirc)mm socket and ratchet for taking fork top caps off

Little files for cable guides etc.

Bike specific in bold

Good point RR - I have most things so I'll probably just get the cassette tools

If you're after cassette tools I'd recommend a Park FR5 and

The Park HCW-16. Pedal spanner and whip in one. I never saw the point of the standalone chain whip having the spanner hole for the FR5 tool as you need to use chain whip AND the FR5 to take a cassette off...

I recieved a full set of Lifeline tools (off wiggle) two xmas' ago, apart from stickers coming off, nothing has bent or broken, recommended.
Has made a massive difference to my confidence when servicing my bikes.

Only thing I've needed to buy was a 1.5mm hex... nearly threw my Revs out the window first.

Lifeline toolkit here too and only the pedal spanner was poor quality.

Hopefully they'd come with more up-to-date tools now though, like a HT2 spanner and torx key.
