Hi Can any one enlighten me as how to avoid handlebar clash when using 4 951 mounts on the roof?
I have them set alternately at the mo but the outside ones are very tricky to load up- the clamp is facing in to the centre of the car....
any help - cheerz
You can turn the clamps round in about 2 mins - it'll make it less of a faff!

Not had any problems loading 4 bikes onto my smallish car - but it's probably a lucky combination of sizes. I think I had to lower some of the saddles - but that was about all.

You can also adjust the angle of the front mount on the rack so you could push the rear-facing racks backwards to push the fronts of them further towards the rear of the car - which should then create space for the bars between the saddles (the saddles should hopefully be clear of the bars).
If all four forks are the same you'll have trouble but if a couple are adjustable you should be able to avoid bars clashing.
I found it best to not spin the clamps round as all bikes have the drivetrain on the right and the clamp works best clamping the downtube at the left side of the chain rings.

If you position the clamp arm vertically before you put the outer bike on you can thread it (the clamp) between the downtube and front tyre, lean the bike away from you, then pull the clamp down to fit over the downtube.
Having the outer clamps "outside" does mean the chance of a bike coming off is very slim. It is possible to have the two centre carriers facing inwards - it works but you need to be tall to do it!
Practice when you're not in a hurry to set off is my top tip 😉
