It's a great loop tho. Windy when we went as well, but I think we had nicer weather (end of April)

Did you finish on this descent? I reckon that's the best way round.

Rhiw Trwmau, flippin' ace, that's one of our Wednesday night ride routes that. Another worth a punt is Y Grib if you're on the way, extends the loop a little but an excellent ridge to descend back to Pengenfford. None of you have a Five then?

Slowrider, all the proper bikes were at home today ๐Ÿ˜‰
Orange 5 Neil?? Sorry they're far to slow and cumbersome for freeriders like us ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha, it's a good job I'm making mine even slower by ditching the Float 32 and putting a pair of Van36 on there. Gives me an even better excuse when being overtaken.

Not that mainstream though - obviously none of you would be seen dead with a Specialized.

I'll refrain from making Specialized jokes as one of the riders pictured works for a Specialized dealer. Though interestingly he has loads of different bikes and none of them are a specialized. ๐Ÿ˜†

Some nice pics again Tollah. Just a bit of a shame that you were too slow get any shots of the faster riders on the rocky bits. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fast enough to keep up Stu (when not getting snakebites) just not fast enough to drop you by a couple of minutes in order to get the camera out!

Normal service has been resumed today ss in the FOD running a vindaloo gear :-0

looks like great riding, but how did you FoD dwellers cope without tree cover? Did the wide open sky fill you with dread and did you have to burn a ceremonial cheese in a wickerman before setting off to appease the great god wongear lest he smite you for your gearie sins ๐Ÿ˜†

That is a great route ... except the walk up Y Das, but long descent afterwards certainly makes up for it!

That's why we went up Y Grib instead. A much nicer climb and you can ride a lot more of it too.
