I used to run my Wanga as a 69er, but with an 80mm fork.

It was flipping brilliant and one of the few bikes I regret selling.

Good work!

Yea. The colour scheme is somewhat curious. It looks like after Sunday dinner vomit. Not sure of your objective, but hey, if it works for you.....
Also, the steerer looks dangerous.

Who cares what it looks like. How does it ride. My 69er looks pretty odd but if I were going to have a custom frame made I'd take it along and say make me something that rides just the same as this and fits me just like this but looks nice.

Rides like a normal bike actually, made of spares so couldn't choose colours

It looks odd but I think I worked it out. Some "idiot" has nicked your gears. And that wall deffo needs re-pointing. ๐Ÿ˜€

Bar ends. Wheels are different sizes. Grass wants seeding.

Apart from the white bits it looks fine to me, but then I like 69ers anyway. My favourite bike is my Singular Humingbird, which is ace.

What are the riding benefits of a 69er?

Years ago a mate had a bike with a mtb rear wheel and a road front. He just had it set like that so he could (and often did) loft the front wheel and wheelie for the entire length of the ride. We thought he was a but mental but it seems that he was just ahead of his time.

but when i fit that fork to another frame with a longer head tube it won't fit, so shortening it would be a bit daft wouldn't it

Don't 69er frames stretch on account of how much faster the front rolls?
Does it bring the trail alive?

Yes it does, however the use of a steel (is real TM) frame allows for this and if built by a well bearded cave qweller the front wheel actually transmits steel (is real TM) signals to the rear of the bike forewarning it of any forthcoming deviation from its homeostasis.

So we are saying that riding RD's bike will open a wormhole / blackhole?

I love it Mr dOg. Looks like an authentic Frisco Repack special. Especially like the red and green 'Victorian lawn mower chiq' aesthetic going on there.

This is a bike I can point at and say: 'Singletrack.com forum user's ride'
