i had a semi custom ElSalt which had severe brake judder caused by bearings ovalising the frame at pivot points, seatstays replaced with secondhand parts. was a dream bike but became a burdon and always played up whilst away on trips

i read on mtbr about something like that.
and this would be worsened with a heavier rider i would have thought.
thing is too on the size i need i cannot get a test ride.
it would be blind buying.
i shall have to rethink a bit.

I've had 2 ventana frames and i cannot fault any of them.
plus alan from Riverside (importer)is a thoroughly pleasnat and honest guy to deal with.
Ring him and see what he says.
i spoke to him a couple of days ago, also spoke via email to the guy who builds ventana.
says they will cope with my size no problem.
