(Full MTB Movie) THE LIMIT: riding the north face of Arbizon (youtube.com)

I bet he wish he'd fitted narrower bars for that

Don't know why the YT link isn't working - its under Alexis Rhigetti - The Limit

Some people will definitely not approve of him putting himself in such danger "for the likes". lol

Shame there's half an hour of talking and walking before any riding starts

I'm a minute in, he's walking down the line, and that seems enough for me!

TBH you can skip to 39mins. The rest almost put me to sleep. I'm not usually negative about these types of films, but that was dull!

When your chance of survival is more than 50% reliant on luck - It's a stupid enterprise.  I stopped watching - Folks like this shouldn't be given airtime.

Definitely looked a bit more luck than judgement. I don't even think I'd walk that. Fair play to him.

Edit: the one in the OP.

Hope bars look lovely!

Wouldnt be for me but fair enough if he enjoys it.

I've had a few vids pop up recently of people skiing down the arete of the Aiguille du Midi and lots of people saying its too dangerous etc etc. 20 years ago I 'skied' down it in my ski boots carrying my skis as I was told it was too dangerous to ski, but for me it was less dangerous than walking down the silly roped path.

He said he was enjoying it, not sure how, I'm bricking it just watching.

Doesn’t look that inspiring as a ride, even if you had the required cohones.  It like a lot of extreme skiing vids which are essentially people side slipping/jump turning down a coilour barely wider than their skis - just doesn’t look like fun to me.

When he was tripoding down the ledge with one hand on the bars I did think 'this is how things go badly wrong'.

My understanding is the bike he's riding is a pinion gearbox set up - hence the gripshift

Definitely is. There are a few carefully placed (surely not Product Placement?!) shots of it. I know this cos I thought "is that an ebike!?" and no, it's a gearbox with PINION in big letters.

I'd be more understanding of his desperate desire to ride it if it looked like amazing riding with exposure, rather than, from what I could tell, just scrabbling down some horrible scree.

I thought it was going to be about excessive lumens on night rides.

Looks like a nice hiking route spoilt by having his bike with him.

What a Muppet.

Scrape a bar on the rock and it will turn the wheel to the left, throwing your weight to the right. Nowhere to dab a foot and over he goes.

Im sure he'd be remembered for a year or two.
