I’m looking forward to going to Morzine for the first time, going a week Monday and I’ve never been to the alps on a bike, or ever actually.

Looks amazing out there, can’t wait

Getting a dream Ti bike is good on it's own but I like the extra touch of the shop helping you to put it together for yourself 😊

In the short term, getting out of hospital.

Then selling my flat, and buying a new bike with (some of) the proceeds.

Oh, and I’m getting married in 4 weeks...

Riding the Torino-Nice Rally in less than a month, with a great friend. Very excited and a bit nervous about the amount of climbing!

Me and a mate have just started to tap into the world of fun that is Wharncliffe Woods in Sheffield. Looking forward to exploring more and challenging my limited skills in the hope of improving as a rider.

Love this thread. Nice to see some positivity!

Had surgery 2 weeks ago and the dressing's just come off. Starting physio soon, and might be allowed to start swimming. Only 1 more month off the bike, and hopefully no more back/leg pain! Also interview monday for what might be the perfect post-grad job!

My wife getting clearance from surgeon to fly so a four night break in Barcelona beckons. Oh and on my return getting back on my bike after caring for Gillian. Writing this I can’t help thinking of gnasmus and hoping some positivity finds its way to him. He gave me some wonderful advice about my wife’s spinal issue so I’m raising a glass to you!!

Starting a new job on Monday morning, always good to have a new challenge int it.

Also might go out on my bike in the morning, but it's half 12 now, and I've had a couple of Rattlers, changes of me getting up at 6.30 are slim.

Ooh also, new cymbal coming next week, and my band are playing the flapper in Brum on bank holiday weekend, always wanted to play there, didn't think I'd get the chance but they've got a 12 month extension on the lease.

Decent pocket knife should arrive Monday after the house movers nicked my last one.

Was looking forward to the circus with our five year old tonight and it was ace (Moscow State Circus).

I'm looking forward to finally finishing building up my first new mtb in 11 years. Also quitting my job in a spectacular fashion, then asking for it back in a few months!

Looking forward to our short family break in a couple of weeks time ..a cottage in Annat , Torridon ...and spending time with the family exploring a little bit further up the road ( Gairloch & Poolewe ) ...

I am gutted not to be taking the mtb ..but understand why ...as on previous trips to the area I have been good for nothing else after a ride .

Also looking forward to driving ( which I enjoy ) the new ( to us) car on its first real road trip ..

About to buy a new house with the wife, it will be our first one but more importantly the start to our 15 year plan where we can drop work to three days a week and live a bit of a better life without working all the time.

Going to work on Monday.  I’m four weeks into a new job and it’s a revelation, after 8 years of working for a cross between Basil Fawlty and Arkwright I’d forgotten what being treated like a grown up was.

My nephews coming down to stay with us for a weekend. Not seen them in over a year. They are 4 and 6! Going to hit the beach, get their little buoyancy aids on and take them out on the paddle board. Ice cream afterwards at Otter Valley Ice cream.

They have not met our dog Wallis yet, and they love animals. He also loves kids, as small children tend to give him food.

I also once looked forward to building up a gorgeous ti HT.

However, Lynskey ballsed up the stated geo numbers and half way through the build I measured it, only to realise their mistake.

Ordered a bigger frame, but that was a gate that looked all wrong, so I sold it on, losing £400.

Advice 1.... measure it before you grab a spanner.

Advice 2. Don't deal with Lynskey.

Looking forward to riding and racing again after breaking my collarbone just as the summer started.

Thankfully I've kept my fitness up on the turbo, and was already looking forward to winter CX, so missing a summer's riding hasn't been too big a blow, shame to have missed Ride to the Sun and a couple of excellent looking local summer races (Battle of the Bing and Haughcross).

In the meantime am doing lots of pointless tinkering on bikes and plotting all sorts of epic rides on Strava, am up to 22 routes currently! 😁

Loooking forward to my mouth healing. Had a lower wisdom tooth removed on Friday (I’m 37) and can’t open my mouth. Been eating baby food all weekend like  Robocop and doped up with Codine tablets.

2 weeks in France with the family at end of Aug. Hired a LWB transporter shuttle so I can fit the bike in too.

Some good stuff in this thread. Positive vibes etc.

Moving back out to Norway next week and spending the whole winter out there. Being reunited with my fat bike and doing some awesome riding/camping while the weather stays good. And then more awesome riding/skiing once the snow arrives!

Short term - new Fuji camera that is being announced in September, to be bought with a small bit of inheritance from my late, much loved, Grandmother’s estate.

Medium term - Holiday in Iceland next March - our first holiday in about six years after a full house renovation and two nippers arriving on the scene. Leaving the children here as well!

Long term - paying off our mortgage just before my 45th birthday in five years time, and after that dropping to a four (or maybe three) day week, buying a camper van and living a bit more!

Looking forward to riding again, sprained ankle has meant I won’t be on a bike for a few more weeks. Healing vibes to those with more serious ailments.

Also looking forward to cooler temperatures, don’t think I’ve ever said that before.

I'm looking forward to everything, life's deadly, did a 60km spin on the xc bike yesterday. First time ever doing a spin that long (I'm usually more of a fan of the bigger travel bike type spins). Legs are still burning and still smiling ear to ear. Those poor people who haven't discovered mountain biking yet. In the more immediate term, looking forward to the first glass of red, in about 30 mins, a 2 day work week this week then 2 weeks in Majorca with wife and child, back for 2 weeks work then off with a group of 12 lads for 5 days to cycle the Portuguese Camino from Porto to Santiago, emphasis will be on bikes and beers in equal proportions.
