Normally clicking (or tapping) on the 'View on Instagram' wording does open it up in Instagram - it normally prompts to login or can be closed and you'll see stuff. If it is a video you see about 10 seconds and then it asks you to sign up or login to see it all. Pictures seem to work fine with an Instagram account.

Typo in my last sentence - pictures seem to work fine WITHOUT an Instagram account.

I'm not part of Instagram, but if I get sent a link to pics or a video, I do seem to be able access most of that without having to login (which I can't do as I don't have an account).
