Seriously, though - Thank you all for these pictures. Makes me realise what a truly wonderful country the UK is, and how very lucky we are to live there! Counting down the days until I get home again! Riding on the Plain at the weekend and praying for the good weather to last!

It's a nice place, actually. A decent lunch in Georgetown (Felt like being on a set from NCIS at times!) and then a stroll down to the White House, before meandering my way towards the rest of the monuments. Pleasant enough, but I'd trade it all for a ten minute walk in the woods with the scent of bluebells in the air.

That's just creative writing 😉 get us some pics, I've never been or will ever have the need to go to DC. Give us the english Gent perspective!..
